Blogging at South Liverpool Learning Network

John Sutton on March 6th, 2008

This afternoon I presented  to teachers in Liverpool at Springwood Heath Primary School, whose building and environment I am extremely jealous of (see photo). I spent most of my teaching career in mobile or Victorian classrooms and never got the chance to teach in such a modern environment. Still it was an enjoyable experience to spend the afternoon talking to teachers about blogging. There seems to be a much greater openness to the medium than there was a couple of years ago -  a sure sign that blogging has gone mainstream! It was also great to have the support of one of my most successful blogging schools in the shape of Scott and Matt from Sudley Juniors whose blogsite is going from strength to strength. If any of the teachers attending the meeting find their way to this article, please click on “comments” below and let me know what you thought.

  1. Thank you for an interesting talk. I have had a play with our blog area and it seemed reasonably straightforward, but I need to know more. I had already seen the Sudley site and I now want to look at the other sites you mentioned to get more of an idea of how blogging is used in other schools…and I need to talk to my headteacher too!
