Heathfield on National TV

In a first for Creativeblogs, one of our schools was featured on national television today. BBC Breakfast News turned up at Heathfield this morning and broadcast 2 live pieces featuring the children and deputy headteacher, David Mitchell, talking about blogging.

The children were, of course, the true stars, and what better way to promote blogging in schools than by talking to the writers themselves.

At Creativeblogs towers we were on tenterhooks as we expected heavy spike in traffic on our servers. Luckily the extra resources that we allocated coped well with the increased demand and every visitor was able to view the excellent work going on at Heathfield.

Some recent highlights on the Heathfield blog include (click on the picture to visit the site):

and their online literacy lesson with well known author, Pie Corbett: click here to replay the lesson.

What a fantastic day for the school and its community, and what a brilliant showcase for the power of blogging!
